Jesse Jamez was born into an environment of criminals, prostitutes, and drug addicts, in a small town south of Cleveland Ohio, on May 29, 1985. While his mother stayed at home, his father worked as a handyman and was in and out of prison during most of Jesse’s childhood.
Although he was part of a large family, with four older brothers and an older sister, Jesse started selling drugs, skipping school and stealing cars. After being locked up numerous times and doing a bid in juvenile prison for robbery and grand theft auto, he was placed in the custody of the state and put in a group home. A few months later when he was 13, Jesse’s older sister was awarded custody and he moved back home to live with her.
With the influences of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 2 Pac, 12 year old Jesse Jamez started rappin. At age 14 he was introduced to Big Balls, a local artist in Ohio, and the two started recording songs in the basement of Ball’s house. A couple of months later, he met Fate-Al and Shizzle when he opened up for them at a concert in Warren, OH. Two months later, on January 6, 2000 Jesse and his sister were both shot in the chest.
After rehabilitating for two months from the shot that came within 1/8 of an inch from his heart, Jesse was given the life saving opportunity to move to Las Vegas where he was cared for and mentored by Shizzle and Fate-Al. Since then, they have given Jesse the chance to mature as an artist, develop his rappin skills and pursue his dream of creating music professionally.
